the Hugo® rolling walker and offers the following suggestions
to people interested in embarking on a walking or fitness
program:
- Think small. Begin with two 5-minute walks per day.
- Find a buddy. It is easier to stick with a program that
is shared with someone else.
- Mix it up. Boredom is the enemy of exercise programs.
Vary walking routes and add other physical activities such
as lifting weights.
- Investigate the local senior center for activities.
- Do volunteer work to keep mobile and connected.
- Use a mobility assistance device if you need help walking
or have a fear of falling.
